Ray and I have been married 24 years. We have 4 boys and two girls. We have lived in seven states, including Utah, Illinois, Arizona, Indiana, Colorado, California, Minnesota, and recently returned to Colorado. We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and we love our church. We enjoy being parents and helping our children through the ups and downs of life. Our oldest son, Jordan, served a mission for our church in Guatemala Quezaltenango and our second son, Aaron is currently serving in the France Lyon Mission. I recently completed a certification program to be a Strategic Strengths Coach and I love the impact this learning has had on my own life and I have a great desire to share my learning with others. Never a dull moment! Life is busy, sometimes complicated, but life is good, and we are blessed!

Hiking at Holy Jim Falls

We spent a Saturday afternoon hiking.  Though our children were not excited about going, once we were there, they had a great time on the hike.  It took about 15-20 minutes to drive over the bumpy dirt roads, and then we hit the trail.  It was a beautiful day and Annalisa took over the camera, and found a new love (picture taking), which trumped her dislike for hiking.  We ended up with over a 100 pictures on the camera. It felt so great to get outside and enjoy the beautiful world in which we live.

BYU Rugby plays in the National College Championship Game

Ray, Aaron, and Jacob along with the Sheppards, Kip, Sam, Connor, Jackson, Bennett, and Walker traveled to Utah to watch the College Rugby Championship game.  BYU won the game and they had a great time.  They had seats in the owners' suite.  Grandpa Noyce, Jodie, and Ryan's kids also came to watch the game. Though we may be avid Utah fans, except Aaron, in this case they were all cheering for BYU.

Mother's Day Chinese Lanterns

Hanging out at the beach waiting for the sun to go down to light our Chinese Lanterns

We did this for Mother's Day to remember our mom and grandma who died last November. It was a great way to remember her.
We tried lighting the lanterns, but as soon as the sun went down, the wind picked up.
We gave up on the beach and drove to our church by our house.  We were much more successful.

We loved watching the lanterns fill with air and take off on their own and sail high into the sky.

A couple of the lanterns failed, but we made sure we caught them and extinguished the flames.

Helping Hands

On April 28th, we headed to a nearby park in Mission Viejo, and helped in a Stake Service Project.  We helped planting and distributing mulch.  We enjoyed working as a family, with the missionaries, and with other members of our stake.

Star Wars Exhibit

Our last outing before Felix left for Germany, we went to the Star Wars Exhibit at the children's museum.  Our children enjoyed looking at the ships, costumes, and learning more about how the movies were created.
